The Chautauqua fire district number 1 shall consist of two election areas to be known as Area 1 and Area 2 located in the Town of Chautauqua and more particularly bounded and described as follows:
AREA 1
All that tract or parcel of land situate in the Town and County of Chautauqua, and State of New York encompassing the present boundary of Chautauqua utility district, a special district corporation, organized and existing by virtue of chapter 85 of the laws of 1934, together with such additional lands as may have been added thereto, until the effective date hereof, in the manner provided by chapter 85 of the laws of 1934, as amended by chapter 628 of the laws of 1955.
AREA 2
All that tract or parcel of land situate in the Town and County of Chautauqua, State of New York, described as follows:
Comprising Lots or parts of Lots 21 through 43, inclusive, Township 3 and Range 13, and Lots or parts of Lots 1 through 4 inclusive, in Township 3 and Range 14 of the Holland Land Company's Survey, in the Town of Chautauqua, and State of New York, bounded and described therein as follows:
Beginning at a point on the west shore of Chautauqua Lake, on the dividing line between the town of Chautauqua and the Town of North Harmony, running thence northerly along said Lake shore in its various windings to a point in the southerly line of land of Chautauqua Institution, thence west along said southerly line to the center of the Lake Road, now N.Y. State Highway #17-J, thence southeasterly along the center line of said Lake Road 505 feet to a point, thence west to the center of the Panama, Road, thence northerly along the center of the Panama Road to a point 150 feet north of the north line of Lot #28, thence east and parallel to said north line of Lot 28 to a point, thence northeasterly to the corner of the Chautauqua Central School property; thence southeasterly along said school property to the southeast corner thereof, thence northeasterly along the easterly line of said school land to the easterly corner thereof and to the center of the Old Lake Road,
Thence, northwesterly along said school property and continuing on the same course along the center of the Lake Road, to the division line of the Chautauqua Institution and land of Robert Smith, thence northeasterly and northerly along the southerly and easterly line of said Smith land to a point in the southerly line of a 50 foot right of way, thence northwesterly along the line of Chautauqua Institution on the east and land of Rhubottom, Grisman and Moore on the west to the southerly line of the land of W.D. McCreery, formerly Packard, thence northeasterly along said McCreery southeasterly line to the shore of Chautauqua Lake, thence northerly along said Lake shore in its various courses to a point in the northerly line of the Light House Point Allotment; thence southwesterly along said Allotment northerly line to the center of the Lake Road, thence southerly along the center line of said Lake Road to the northeast corner of land of Ross Burdick and wife, thence westerly along Burdick's north line to the northwest corner thereof, thence southerly along Burdick's west line to land of Isabelle Parker - formerly known as the Emily Hews north line, thence westerly along the land of Isabelle Parker, Luman Wood and Henry Smith to the northwest corner thereof, thence south along the west line of Lot #34 and lands of Henry Smith - and L. Y. Ramsey to the southerly corner of the Boy Scout Farm, - said southerly corner being about 2-ch. 20 li. northerly of the center line of the Moore Road, thence northwesterly along the southerly line of said Boy Scout Farm, said line being the northeasterly line of land of L. Y. Ramsey and Julius King to the easterly line of Arthur Wilcox land, thence southerly along the easterly line of Arthur Wilcox and the west line of Ramsey and King to the north line of Gerald Hewes land, thence west along Gerald Hewes north line to the west line of Lot #39, thence south along the west line of Lot #39 - being the west line of Gerald Hewes land to the center of the Moore Road, being the northeast corner of Lot #43, thence west along the north line of Lot #43 to the northwest corner thereof - being the northerly line of E. J. Nickerson land, thence north along east line of Lot #4 - to the northeast corner of said Lot #4 - thence west along the north line of Lot #4, being the north line of E. J. Nickerson land on said Lot #4 - to E. J. Nickerson's northwest corner, thence south along E. J. Nickerson west line to the south line of Lot #4 -, thence east to the east line of Lot 4, thence south along the east line of Lot 4, the same being the west line of Allen Sekins land or Lots 42 and 43 - to the north line of Clifford Crandall land, thence west along Crandall north line to the N.W. corner thereof, thence south along Crandall west line, thence East along Crandall south line, thence south along Crandall west line, thence east along Crandall south line to the center of the road known as the Town Line Road, thence south along the center of said Town Line Road to the land of Edward Auge, thence west along Auge north line, thence south along Auge west line, to the north line of L. A. Batson land, thence west along Batson North line,thence south along Batson west line, thence west along Batson north line to the west line of Lot #2, thence south along the west line of Lot #2, the same being Batson's west line, thence east along Batson south line, the same being the south line of Lot #2 - to the southeast corner thereof, thence south along the Town Line Road to the northeast corner of land of Sam Brown, thence west along Brown's north line to the northwest corner thereof, thence south along Brown west line to the north line of land of John Whitehead, thence west along Whitehead north line to the northwest corner thereof, thence south along Whitehead west line, to the southwesterly corner thereof, thence east along Whitehead south line, to a point, being the division line between land of Allen Wood and Laverne Houseman, thence southeasterly along Houseman westerly line to the southwest corner thereof, thence easterly to a point, thence northerly along Houseman easterly line, thence easterly to the east line of Lot 1 - thence south along the east line of Lot 1 - to the southeast corner of Lot 1, thence east along the south line of Lots 40 - 35 - 30 - 26 - 23 and 21 - the said line being the boundary line between the Town of Chautauqua on the north and Town of North Harmony on the South, to the point of beginning.
Within thirty days after this act takes effect, the town board of the town of Chautauqua shall appoint five fire district commissioners and a treasurer for such district who shall hold their respective offices until the thirty-first day of December of the next succeeding calendar year. Three of such fire district commissioners shall be residents of Area 1 having been recommended by the commissioners of the Chautauqua Utility District and two of such fire district commissioners shall be residents of Area 2.
