No camper, camper trailer, mobile home, house
trailer, boat or boat trailer shall be stored outside on any highway
or street or on public property within the Incorporated Village of
Lake Grove.
A.
A camper,
camper trailer, mobile home, house trailer, boat or boat trailer may
be parked or stored on private property subject to the following regulations.
(1)
Only one such vehicle per family may be parked or
stored on any lot containing the dwelling unit of such family.
(2)
Such vehicle shall only be parked or stored in a driveway
or garage or in an enclosed rear yard.
(3)
The parking or storage of such vehicle shall be in
full compliance with the off-street parking requirements of the Village
of Lake Grove Code and shall not preempt the uses of space needed
for off-street parking of other vehicles.
(4)
Such vehicle must belong to an owner or occupant of
the premises upon which the vehicle is parked or stored.
(5)
No person shall occupy, park, store or otherwise locate
any house trailer for living or sleeping purposes on any premises,
street or highway within the Incorporated Village of Lake Grove. In
the event of an emergency, a permit can be applied for through the
Building Department regulating sewer, electrical and water hookups.
(6)
No boat or trailer may exceed 25 feet in length and
be parked on a driveway or in a rear yard.
(7)
The parking of boats or trailers on a highway within
the village between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. is hereby prohibited.
After the above stated hours, no person shall park any house trailer,
landscaping trailer, flatbed trailer, box trailer, utility trailer
or boat trailer on any street within the Incorporated Village of Lake
Grove for more than three hours, unless in connection with a bona-fide
commercial service, sales or delivery to such property.
B.
Canopies
or tents used for the storage of automobiles or personal property
shall be prohibited in front yards in the Village of Lake Grove. Such
storage units may be allowed in rear yards by permit only on a temporary
basis not to exceed 90 days.

C.
Storage
bins such as PODS® and Gibney's shall be allowed in the Village
of Lake Grove by permit only.

(1)
If
a storage bin is necessitated by reason of necessity, permits can
be obtained for a period of 30 days without charge to the resident
or property owner and may be renewed two additional times for a total
period of 90 days.
(2)
Any resident, property owner, or lessee having such storage bins on property within the Village in violation of this code will be subject to a daily fine for each day that the violation exists of $50 per day and a daily fine for each day that the violation shall exist after 10 days a daily fine of $50 for each day that the fine exists. Each day that a violation exists shall constitute a separate violation with a separate fine under this section, whether or not a separate or additional appearance ticket is issued, and each unit or property existing on a property in violation of this Chapter 172 shall constitute a separate violation for which a separate appearance ticket may be issued and which shall be subject to a separate and additional daily fine. This section shall also apply to owners of the storage bins.

E.
Trucks
containing flammable liquids or gases shall be prohibited from being
parked or stored within the Village of Lake Grove for any length of
time exceeding the time required to make deliveries of such products.
