This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Lansdowne Traffic Ordinance of 1949."
It shall be unlawful for any person to fail to comply with the following regulations concerning the use of the highways of the Borough of Lansdowne or to remove, injure, deface or destroy any marking, signal or sign erected, maintained or installed in compliance with this chapter.
A. 
The definitions contained in the Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania shall apply to the provisions of this chapter.
B. 
Wherever any hour of the day is used in this chapter, it shall refer to the time currently in effect in the Borough, either Eastern standard time or daylight saving time.

C. 
Wherever the word "holiday" is used in this chapter, it shall refer to the following legal holidays: January 1, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and December 25, and in the event that any of said days occurs on a Sunday, then the word "holiday" shall refer to the Monday following said date.

Wherever any distance is used in this chapter, it is measured from the curbline.
The Chief of Police of the Borough of Lansdowne shall post conspicuous notices of all of the traffic regulations contained in this chapter, by suitable street surface markings and by signs of the form and in the locations required by the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
