The Board of Review shall consist of seven members
which shall consist of the five members of the Town Board, the Deputy
Town Clerk and one citizen who shall be a resident of the Town and
shall not hold any public office or be publicly employed.
The citizen member shall be appointed by the
Town Chairperson for a term of five years ending on December 31 of
the fifth full year of service.
The Town Board hereby provides for the appointment
of alternates to serve on the Board of Review in the event a standing
member of the Board of Review is removed or unable to serve for any
reason. The Town Board may name as many alternates as it deems necessary
to meet the statutory requirement that no less than three Board of
Review members are needed to make a final determination of an objection
to the property assessment. When appointment of an alternate is necessary,
the appointment must be made no less than 48 hours prior to a meeting
of the Board of Review.
The members of the Board of Review shall serve
without compensation.
The Board of Review shall have the powers and
duties prescribed by W.S.A. s. 70.47.

Whenever the Assessor, in the performance of
the Assessor’s duties, requests or obtains income and expense
information pursuant to § 70.47(7)(af), Wis. Stats., or
any successor statute thereto, then, such income and expense information
that is provided to the Assessor shall be held by the Assessor on
a confidential basis, except, however, that said information may be
revealed to and used by persons: in the discharging of duties imposed
by law; in the discharge of duties imposed by office (including but
not limited to use by the Assessor in performance of official duties
of the Assessor’s office and use by the Board of Review in performance
of its official duties); or pursuant to order of a court. Information
shall not be redisclosed by any such individuals to any person or
persons not authorized to receive that information. Income and expense
information provided to the Assessor under this section, unless a
court determines that it is inaccurate, shall not be subject to the
right of inspection and copying under § 19.35(l), Wis. Stats.
