In accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:9-146, the position
of Municipal Tax Assessor is established within the City of Northfield.

The term of office of the Municipal Tax Assessor
shall be in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:9-148, and the Municipal
Tax Assessor, as appointed, shall hold office for a term of four years
from the first day of July next following his appointment.
The appointment of the individual to hold the
position of Municipal Tax Assessor shall be made by resolution of
the Common Council of the City of Northfield for the term specified
herein.
The Council of the City of Northfield shall
fix the annual salary of the Assessor as established in the annual
Salary Ordinance, and such salary shall be payable as provided therein.
