A. 
The City Council hereby authorizes the economic development zone exemption as permitted in Subdivision 1(a) of § 485-e of the Real Property Tax Law, and the exemption so authorized shall be for a term of 10 years, notwithstanding that the designation of the zone shall expire before the end of such ten-year term.
B. 
The Council also encourages the Saint Lawrence County Board of Legislators and the Ogdensburg City School District Board of Education to offer this abatement.
