[HISTORY: Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Cohoes 5-13-1969 by Ord. No. 59-1969. Amendments noted where applicable.]
A council is hereby created and established within the City of Cohoes, New York, which shall be known as the "Cohoes Drug Abuse Prevention Council."
The Council is hereby directed to develop a program of community participation regarding the control of the use of narcotics in the City of Cohoes, and it shall exercise the powers granted to it and shall assume the duties imposed upon it pursuant to § 239-u of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.

The Cohoes Drug Abuse Prevention Council shall be composed of seven members who shall serve for terms of three years. One of the members shall be designated as Chairman.
