The purpose of this district is to provide areas within the Town primarily intended for medium- to high-density residential development where both public water and sewer are available.
Permitted structures and uses shall be as follows:
A. 
Residential:
(1) 
Single-family dwelling.
(2) 
Two-family dwelling.
(3) 
Multiple dwelling; up to four dwelling units in a single structure.
B. 
Accessory residential uses:
(1) 
Private garages.
(2) 
Storage sheds, dog houses, tree houses, etc.
(3) 
Attached and detached solar collectors.
(4) 
Swimming pools, private.
(5) 
Wind mills, TV antennas.
(6) 
Gardens.
Permitted uses subject to site plan approval shall be as follows:
A. 
Residential:
(1) 
Multiple dwellings exceeding four dwelling units.
B. 
Religious institutions:
(1) 
Churches, chapels, temples, synagogues and related uses.
Uses subject to conditional permit shall be as follows:
A. 
Customary home occupations, limited to:
(1) 
Professional offices of doctors, attorneys, dentists, accountants, architects, engineers, insurance agents and real estate brokers.
(2) 
Studios or offices for teachers, with not more than two students simultaneously.
(3) 
Studios for artists, photographers and writers.
(4) 
Home workshops.
(5) 
Service establishments of hairdressers, barber and tailors.
(6) 
No home occupation shall have more than one assistant, secretary, coworker or personnel other than the principal or owner.
B. 
Educational institutions:
(1) 
Schools, public and private; all age groups.
(2) 
Libraries.
C. 
Recreational and social activities:
(1) 
Public and private clubs (nonprofit).
(2) 
Parks and playgrounds.
(3) 
Public swimming pools.
D. 
Boardinghouses and tourist homes.
E. 
Health, medical and care services:
(1) 
Hospitals.
(2) 
Clinics.
(3) 
Child day-care centers.
(4) 
Nursing homes.
(5) 
Group homes.
(6) 
Mortuaries.
F. 
Transportation and utility uses:
(1) 
Public utility substations.
(2) 
Utility lines, poles and facilities.
