Whenever a term is used in this chapter which is defined in Ch. 291, Laws of N.J. 1975, such term is intended to have the meaning set forth in the definition of such term found in said statute, unless a contrary intention is clearly expressed from the context of this chapter.
All sections of the Land Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance, Site Plan Review Ordinance and Administrative Code for the Township of Galloway or any other ordinance of the Township of Galloway which contains provisions contrary to the provisions of this chapter to the extent of any such inconsistency shall be and are hereby repealed.
Pursuant to the provisions of Ch. 291, P.L. 1975 (N.J.S.A. 40:55D-92), the substantive provisions of the existing Land Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance and Site Plan Ordinance of the Township of Galloway and the development regulations set forth therein shall continue in full force and effect for a period not extending beyond February 1, 1977,[1] or until the township exercises the authority delegated by said statute to regulate development, whichever occurs first, except as is otherwise provided in N.J.S.A. 40:55D-90b.

Editor's Note: Ordinance No. 564, adopted 12-19-1977, provided that these development regulations shall continue in full force and effect until 2-1-1979.
All applications for development filed prior to the effective date of this chapter may be continued, but any appeals arising out of decisions made on any such application shall be governed by the provisions of Article IV of this chapter.
This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Land Use Procedures Ordinance of the Township of Galloway."
Immediately upon adoption of this chapter, the Municipal Clerk shall file a copy of this chapter with the County Planning Board as required by law. The Clerk shall also file with said County Planning Board copies of all other ordinances of the municipality relating to land use, such as the Subdivision, Zoning and Site Plan Review Ordinances.
This chapter shall take effect after final passage, publication and filing with the Atlantic County Planning Board as required by statute (N.J.S.A. 40:55D-16).
