GENERAL REFERENCES
Excavated lands — See Ch. 73.

No person, firm, corporation, institution, public or private, or any other organization shall leave outside of any building or dwelling and no owner, occupant, lessor or person or entity in control of property shall have outdoors and upon their property:
A. 
In a place in any Business and Industrial Districts of the Town of Brookhaven accessible to children any abandoned, unattended or discarded icebox, refrigerator or any other container of any kind which has an airtight door or lock which may not be released or opened from the inside of said icebox, refrigerator or container; or
B. 
In any such district any abandoned, unattended or discarded icebox, refrigerator or any other container of any kind which has an airtight snap-lock or other device thereon without first removing said snap-lock or door from said icebox, refrigerator or container; or
C. 
In any residence district of the Town of Brookhaven, for storage or otherwise, any refrigerators, iceboxes, washing machines, drying machines, sinks, toilets, radiators, freezers, tires, stoves and bathtubs.

A. 
No person, firm, corporation, institution, public or private, or any other organization shall leave in a place accessible to children any abandoned or unattended well, cesspool or cistern.
B. 
In the event that any well, cesspool or cistern shall be disconnected or abandoned, the person, firm, corporation, institution, organization or agent owning, occupying, leasing or in control of said premises shall forthwith fill all voids and depressions and restore the premises to the same grade and condition as before said well, cesspool or cistern was installed and shall accordingly notify the Building Inspector when said restoration work has been completed.
C. 
The Building Inspector may proceed under Chapter 73 of the Code of the Town of Brookhaven should the owner fail to make the necessary restorations.
A violation of any of the provisions of the foregoing shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding $500 or by imprisonment not exceeding 30 days, or both. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
