Committee established. There is hereby created a Riverwalk
Committee, the members of which shall be appointed by the Mayor with
the advice and consent of the Borough Council.
B.Â
Membership. Said Committee shall consist of 15 members.
C.Â
Term of office. Three of the Committee members first
appointed shall each hold office for one-year terms, three for two-year
terms, three for three-year terms, three for four-year terms, and
three for five-year terms, as fixed by the Mayor, and thereafter all
appointments shall be for a term of five years. Vacancies shall be
filled for the unexpired term only. Committee members shall serve
until their successors are appointed and shall qualify. Committee
members shall receive no compensation for their services.
D.Â
Duties. The Riverwalk Committee shall make recommendations
to the Mayor and Council regarding the development and construction
of the riverwalk on Borough property adjoining the Saddle River and
for the maintenance and use thereof after the riverwalk has been completed.
