Any person violating any of the provisions of § 316-24 of Article V of this chapter, entitled "Maximum speed limits," and § 316-25, entitled "Limitation of speed on school streets," shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not more than $100 or by imprisonment for not more than 30 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, for a first conviction; by a fine of not more than $200 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, for a second conviction within 18 months; by a fine of not more than $500 or by imprisonment for not more than 180 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, for a third or subsequent conviction within 18 months.
A. 
Penalties for specific sections.
(1) 
Violation of any of the provisions of §§ 316-3, 316-4, 316-5, 316-6, 316-8, 316-9, 316-10, 316-12, 316-13, 316-14, 316-15, 316-16, 316-17, 316-18, 316-19, 316-21, and 316-27 of this chapter shall be punishable for the first offense by a fine not less than $50 nor more than $100 or by imprisonment for not less than two nor more than 15 days and for the third or any subsequent offense within one year by a fine not exceeding $200 or by imprisonment not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

(2) 
Violation of any of the provisions of § 316-9.1 or § 316-26 shall be punishable for the first offense by a fine of not to exceed $500, and for the second or any subsequent offense within one year by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or by imprisonment not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

(3) 
Penalty for violation of § 316-22. Any person violating any of the provisions of § 316-22 shall be punishable for the first offense by a fine not to exceed $50 and for the second offense by a fine not to exceed $100. The third or any subsequent offense within one year shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $100.[1]

B. 
The provisions herein contained with relation to imposition of fines shall be applicable to a firm or corporation which violates any provision of this chapter.
