This article is adopted pursuant to the authority granted by Municipal
Home Rule Law § 10, Subdivision 1(ii)d(3).
This article supersedes § 27, Subdivision 1, of the Town law
insofar as the same may prohibit compensation of Planning Board and Zoning
Board members on a per meeting or per meeting attended basis.
Notwithstanding any provision of the Town Law (including § 27,
Subdivision 1) or any provision of any other general law or local law, the
Town Board of the Town of Ithaca is authorized to compensate the Town of Ithaca
Planning Board members and the Town of Ithaca Zoning Board of Appeals members
on the basis of a stipend per scheduled meeting or per meeting attended by
such members.
Nothing in this article is intended to prohibit the Town Board of the
Town of Ithaca from compensating said members on any other basis permitted
by law.
