A. 
When any vehicle is parked or abandoned on any highway within this Village during a snowstorm, flood, fire or other public emergency which affects that portion of the public highway upon which said vehicle is parked or abandoned, said vehicle may be removed by the order of the Chief of Police or his designated representative.
B. 
When any vehicle is found unattended on any highway within this Village where said vehicle constitutes any obstruction to traffic, said vehicle may be removed by order of the Chief of Police or his designated representative.
C. 
When any vehicle is parked or abandoned on any highway within this Village where stopping, standing or parking is prohibited, said vehicle may be removed by order of the Chief of Police or his designated representative.
D. 
When any vehicle is found to be in violation of Article VII hereof, said vehicle may be removed by order of the Chief of Police or his designated representative.

E. 
When any vehicle is found to be in violation of § 282-25B(1), F or G hereof, said vehicle may be removed by order of the Chief of Police or his designated representative.

F. 
The authority for the Chief of Police or his designated representative to impound vehicles under this section shall mean and include the authority to "boot" vehicles so that such vehicles are immovable.

After removal or booting of any vehicle as provided in this article, the Chief of Police or designated representative may cause said vehicle to be stored by a member of the Police Department of the Incorporated Village of Northport or employee of the Incorporated Village of Northport, or by any other person, firm or corporation. Such owner, or the person in charge of the vehicle, may redeem the same upon payment of the amount of all expenses actually and necessarily incurred in effecting such removal or booting, together with any charges for storage. The Board of Trustees may establish and revise from time to time a schedule of fees for removal, booting and storage of any vehicle.
