A. The City, through its legislative body and the Mayor
as its chief administrator, hereby takes recognition of its many untiring
employees, past, present and future, who have, or will have, devoted
25 years or more to public service as faithful public servants of
our City.
B. In acknowledgment of said employees' many years of
loyal service, the Mayor is hereby directed to acknowledge such longevity
by awarding an emblem of significance as a form of expression of our
appreciation and heartfelt thanks for their many years of service
to our community.

A. The Council hereby prescribes that an official undertaking
shall be filed with the City Clerk by the elected City officials and
appointed employees holding the following City offices in the penal
sum hereinafter set forth:

B. All other City employees elected or appointed are
covered with $50,000 blanket bond.
The premium for all officers' bonds shall be
paid by the City on the audit of the Comptroller out of moneys properly
applicable thereto.

The Director of Finance is hereby authorized
to make deductions of dues from the pay of the members of various
employee organizations recognized by the City, provided that written
request for such deductions of dues is filed with the Director of
Finance by such member and, further, provided that the employees'
association files a request, duly authenticated by the proper officials,
indicating the proper official of that body to whom the deducted dues
should be forwarded.
The Director of Finance is hereby authorized
and directed to deduct United Fund pledges from the salary checks
of those City employees who request him to do so in writing.

Supervisory and other regular employees not
covered by collective bargaining agreements are entitled to noncontributory
disability benefits insurance and participation in the 25 years’
retirement plan on the terms and conditions set by the Schenectady
City Council.
