The Town of Old Saybrook, acting by and through
the 1965 Annual Town Meeting and pursuant to C.G.S. § 7-131a,
hereby establishes and charters a Conservation Commission.

The purposes of the Commission shall be those
stated in C.G.S. § 7-131a.
The powers, privileges, rights and duties of
said Commission shall be those enumerated in C.G.S. § 7-131a
and all others conferred or to be conferred by appropriate authority.
The Commission shall consist of seven members
to be appointed by the Board of Selectmen to serve for terms of two
years each, provided that, of the initial appointments, four shall
be for a term of two years and three for a term of one year.
