On the following streets, every vehicle remaining in any one place thereon shall be parked at an angle of 45 degrees, with the right front wheel to the curb:

No vehicle, without necessity, shall stop with its left side to the curb on any of the locations where limited parking has been provided by the sections of this chapter relating to time-limit parking and no parking.
On the following street or parts thereof, every motor vehicle remaining in any one place thereon shall be parked parallel with the curb with the right wheels of the vehicle to the curb tandem style; that is, there shall be five feet of space between each two vehicles so parked:
A. 
Main street.
(1) 
East side, from Canal Street to East Hollis Street; provided, however, that there shall be no parking on the east side from the north lane of East Hollis Street to the Worcester and Portland Division of the Boston and Maine Railroad tracks, no parking on the east side from a point 62 feet south of the south line of Temple Street to Temple Street, and no parking in front of the State Theater.
(2) 
West side, from Franklin Street to West Hollis Street; provided, however, that there shall be no parking on the west side from a point 35 feet south of the south line of Water Street to a point 60 feet north of the north line of Water Street and no parking on the west side from the north line of High Street north to the south line of Factory Street, which shall be reserved for a bus stop
B. 
Woodward Avenue, west side, from a point 56 feet south of Kinsley Street southerly to the north line of Earley Street
On all streets or parts of streets named in this article, excepting those on which no parking is allowed and those on which angle parking is required and the following streets or parts thereof, any vehicle remaining in any one place thereon shall be stationed within 12 inches of the curb and parallel thereto:

No person shall park any vehicle upon a public street, other than an alley, in such a manner or under such conditions as to leave available less than 10 feet of the width of the roadway for free movement of vehicular traffic.
No person shall stand or park a vehicle on a roadway other than parallel with the edge of the roadway, headed in the direction of lawful traffic movement, and with any part of the vehicle beyond 12 inches from the curb or edge of the roadway, and on the following streets, except as otherwise provided:

No person shall stand or park any vehicle on a public street or in a public lot or garage in an area that has been marked with diagonal striped lines or hash marks.
A. 
Commercial vehicles, while actually taking on or discharging merchandise, or any vehicle while taking on or leaving passengers, may stand for a reasonable period, not exceeding five minutes, at a reasonable distance from the curb and parallel thereto, when such vehicle cannot find a nearby parking position on any street in the City.
B. 
No commercial or private vehicle shall block or partially block any travel lane on Main Street from its intersection at Amherst Street to its intersection at Lake Street for a period greater than one minute between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
C. 
Commercial vehicles loading and unloading on Main Street between Amherst Street and Lake Street may use more than one metered parking space from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., provided that the travel lane is not obstructed.
