Pursuant to the authority of Public Act No. 509 of the General Assembly, January Session, 1955, now Sections 25-84 through 25-94 of the Connecticut General Statutes, there is hereby created for the Town of Guilford a Flood and Erosion Control Board.

Said Flood and Erosion Control Board shall consist of five members, three of whom shall be the Selectmen of the Town of Guilford. The remaining two members shall be appointed by said Board of Selectmen for a term consistent with the term of said Board of Selectmen. Immediately following the biennial election of the Board of Selectmen, said Board of Selectmen shall appoint two members for a term of two years.
Each member of said Flood and Erosion Control Board shall be an elector of the Town of Guilford and shall serve without compensation. Not more than three members of said Board shall be registered with the same political party.
The provisions of Public Act No. 509 of the General Assembly, as amended, are hereby adopted, and the Flood and Erosion Control Board shall have all of the powers and duties contained therein.
