The Town of Guilford finds that it is in the
public interest to encourage the use and development of solar energy
systems as a clean, renewable energy source and to help promote local,
clean jobs. The tax exemption for active solar energy heating or cooling
systems, as that term is defined in Section 12-81 (56)(b) of the Connecticut
General Statutes, is hereby authorized, subject to the limitations,
terms and conditions as specified in Section 12-81 (56) (a) and (c)
of said statute.
This article shall be effective December 4,
1976, and shall apply to construction begun on and after said date.
