The Town may, by the recommendation of either the Chief of Police or
Fire Chief, and with the agreement of the General Manager, enter into agreements
with other municipalities to jointly perform any function that each municipality
may perform separately under any provisions of the General Statutes or of
any special act, charter or home rule ordinance. Specifically, this chapter
authorizes agreements pursuant to Public Act No. 01-117, approved by the General
Assembly on June 20, 2001, effective July 1, 2001.[1]
