Town of Manchester, CT Chapter 220 Nightclubs

§ 220-1 Operating hours.

No nightclub, dance hall or other facility which provides live music, or live entertainment, or prerecorded music for the entertainment of its patrons or members shall operate within the Town of Manchester during the following hours:

A. Monday through Friday between 1:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

B. Saturday between 2:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

C. Sunday between 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

D. Any other hours when the serving of alcoholic beverages is prohibited by the Liquor Control Act of the State of Connecticut.

§ 220-2 Penalties for offenses.

The owner of the building in which the violation occurs and the person or entity operating the establishment shall each be subject to a fine in the amount of $100 for each violation of this chapter. Each night in which operations continue after the hours set forth in this chapter shall be deemed a separate violation of this chapter.

§ 220-3 Injunctive relief.

In addition to the foregoing remedy , the Town shall also be entitled to seek injunctive relief to enforce this chapter.

§ 220-4 Applicability to private parties.

This chapter shall not be construed to apply to private parties on private, residential premises.
