[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Montville 10-24-1972 by Ord. No. O-P (Part 111 of the 1991 Compilation). Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to the provisions of C.G.S. § 7-151a, the Town of Montville, in conjunction with the Towns of Bozrah and Salem, hereby establishes a lake authority for that body of water within the territorial limits of the Towns of Bozrah, Montville and Salem, known as Gardner's Lake.

At such time as similar ordinances have been enacted by the legislative bodies of the Towns of Bozrah and Salem, the Town Council of the Town of Montville shall appoint three delegates, who shall be legal voters of the Town of Montville, to serve on said Gardner's Lake Authority for the terms of one year, two years, and three years, respectively, or until their successors are appointed; provided, however, that thereafter as each term expires, appointment shall be for a three-year term.

The members of the Gardner's Lake Authority shall serve without pay. Any expenses incurred by said Authority shall be shared by the towns, as follows:
A. 
Montville: 30%.
B. 
Salem: 60%.
C. 
Bozrah: 10%.
The Gardner's Lake Authority shall be agent for the Town of Montville in cooperation with the Commissioner of Environmental Protection, enforcing of boating laws on Gardner's Lake, filing of application for grants and reimbursements with the Commissioner of Environmental Protection and other state agencies.
