The political parties having the largest and second largest total number of enrolled party members in the state as determined by the latest enrollment records in the Office of the Secretary of State, submitted in accordance with the provisions of C.G.S. § 9-65, as amended, shall be entitled to nominate 1/3 of the total number of Justices of the Peace, with the remaining 1/3 reserved for members of minor parties and unaffiliated voters.
The total number of Justices of the Peace in the Town of Montville shall be 120 commencing with the state election in November of 1996, and continuing until further ordinance. Said ordinance is passed under the authority of Chapter 146 of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended.[1]
