GENERAL REFERENCES
Possession of alcohol by minors — See Ch. 141, Art. II.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
CRIMINAL ACTS
Those acts which violate any federal or state law or municipal or local ordinance and shall include moving traffic violations.
Any parent, guardian or other person having custody of any child under 18 years of age who omits to exercise reasonable diligence in the control of such child to prevent such child from committing two or more criminal acts other than traffic violations, the first such act being committed within the Town, or to prevent such child from accruing three or more convictions of moving traffic violations on at least three separate occasions, the first two such moving traffic violations being committed within the Town, shall be fined not more than $100.
Whenever a child under 18 years of age shall be arrested or detained for the alleged commission of any criminal act within the Town, the parents, guardian or other person having custody of such child shall be immediately notified by the Police Department, which shall advise them of such arrest or detention, the reason therefor and their responsibility under this chapter. A record of such notification shall be kept by the Police Department.
