No truck, tractor, semitrailer, trailer or other vehicle having a gross weight of more than 10,000 pounds shall be parked on a public street, highway or thoroughfare of the Town of Norfolk, except for the purposes of making pickups or deliveries and, in the case of school buses, for the purpose of picking up and discharging passengers. In the event that it is necessary to park such vehicles for purposes of the exceptions stated, the purpose therefor shall be carried out with dispatch and the vehicle removed as soon as reasonably possible.

Upon refusal to move a vehicle parked in violation of this article, the traffic authority or a proper officer may direct that the vehicle be towed away, and the proper owner may recover such vehicle only after payment of the tow charges for removal of the vehicle and any charges for storage.
Any person or corporation found guilty of violation of this article shall be fined not more than $100.
