Town of Rocky Hill, CT Article VII Town Planner

§ 38-18 Establishment of position.

The position of Town Planner is hereby established.

§ 38-19 Appointing authority.

The appointing authority for the position created in § 38-18 of this article shall be the Town Manager.

§ 38-20 Inclusion in classified service.

The position of Town Planner shall be within the classified service, in accordance with the provisions of Article IX of the Charter.

§ 38-21 Powers of Town Manager.

The Town Manager shall supervise, direct, evaluate and discipline the Town Planner.

§ 38-22 Consultation with Planning and Zoning Commission.

The Planning and Zoning Commission will consult with the Town Manager regarding evaluation of the Town Planner.

§ 38-23 Removal.

A. The Town Manager shall have the power to remove the Town Planner.

B. Any appointment and removal of the Town Planner shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Charter.

§ 38-24 Duties.

The Town Planner's duties will be as set forth in a written job description to be on file at all times in the office of the Town Manager.
