All town employees shall have the right to form or join an organization
of their own choosing for the purpose of their mutual aid and benefit, and
no town officer or his representative or town board or member thereof shall
interfere with, restrain or coerce any town employee in the exercise of such
right; nor shall any town employee be punished, disciplined or discriminated
against nor shall his status, position, salary advancement or any other rights
be affected in any way by reason of his membership in any such organization
or his lawful activities therein, provided that they do not conflict with
the provisions of the Charter.
Whenever formed, organizations of town employees shall agree not to
participate in a stoppage of work or a strike against the town.
