An Economic Development Commission is established for the promotion of the business and industrial resources of the Town of Colchester.[1]

Editor's Note: Pursuant to Article IV of this chapter, the Economic Development Commission was designated as the Development Agency for the town pursuant to C.G.S. § 8-188, and was vested with all of the powers referred to in said statute.

The Economic Development Commission shall consist of seven members and two alternates who shall be electors of the Town, to be appointed by the Board of Selectmen.
The original members shall hold office for terms of one, two, three, four and five years, respectively. Thereafter, each appointed member shall hold office for a period of five years.
The provisions of C.G.S. § 7-136 are hereby adopted.
