The purpose of the C-2 General Commercial District is to provide for high-density, retail or service outlets which deal directly with the customer for whom the goods or services are furnished. The uses allowed in this district are to provide goods and services on a community market scale and located in areas which are well served by collector or arterial street facilities.

The following are conditional uses in a C-2 District:
A.
Custom manufacturing, restricted production and repair limited to the following: art, needlework, jewelry from precious metals, watches, dentures, optical lenses, provided that:
B.
Open and outdoor storage as an accessory use, provided that:
(1)
The area is fenced and screened from view of neighborhood residential uses or if abutting a residential district in compliance with § 190-16G of this chapter.
(2)
Storage is screened from view from public right-of-way in compliance with § 190-16G of this chapter.
(3)
Storage area is grassed or surfaced to control dust.
C.
Open or outdoor service, sale and rental as an accessory use and including sales in or from motorized vehicles, trailers or wagons, provided that:
(1)
Outside service, sales and equipment rental connected with the principal use is limited to 30% of the gross floor area of the principal use.
(2)
Outside sales areas are fenced or screened from view of neighboring residential uses or an abutting residential district in compliance with § 190-16G of this chapter.
(4)
Sales area is grassed or surfaced to control dust.
D.
Used auto sales, provided that:

(1)
Only passenger cars and light trucks not exceeding 12,000 pounds GVWR shall be allowed.
(2)
All vehicles must be fully operational and meet all highway driving and licensing requirements.
(3)
All vehicles shall be located on property owned or leased.
(4)
Storage area is grassed or surfaced to control dust.
E.
Any other legitimate business uses which uses are consistent with the intent and purpose of the C-2 District.
