As used in this Article, the following terms are defined as indicated:
DESIGNATED AREA
The specified areas open to hunting as established by the Division and communicated to the public by way of maps and signage.
SEASON
The time frame established by the Division based on, but not necessarily the same as, the seasons set by the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife for each type of hunting allowed.

SMALL GAME
Those animals identified as small game by the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife (NJDFW), such as but not limited to pheasant, rabbit, quail, squirrel, grouse, raccoon, opossum, fox, woodcock, beaver, otter and wild turkey.

Fishing is permitted in the waters under the jurisdiction of the Division unless otherwise posted. All persons fishing on park property must have a New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife (NJDFW) license where required and must otherwise comply with all applicable rules and regulations of the NJDFW.
A. 
Trapping, except of muskrat and raccoon, is prohibited on all Atlantic County parks property.
B. 
Muskrat and raccoon trapping shall be permitted in designated areas during the annually prescribed season.
C. 
The use of snares is prohibited from all trapping activities on County Park property.

Small-game hunting is prohibited in all Atlantic County parks areas, except for those species for which hunting is permitted during deer season pursuant to New Jersey Administrative Code regulations.
A. 
During the annually prescribed season, designated areas of the Atlantic County parks system shall be open to controlled waterfowl hunting for ducks and Canada geese only. Hunting of any other species of waterfowl is prohibited.

Duck blinds are not permitted in County parks areas.

During the annually prescribed deer seasons, designated areas of the Atlantic County parks system shall be open to controlled deer hunting.
B. 
No permanent tree stands will be allowed in County park areas. Portable tree stands are permitted, but are left at the owner's expense and risk.

C. 
Deer baiting is prohibited.
D. 
Deer drives are prohibited.
E. 
Disturbance of vegetation is prohibited.
F. 
Deer hunting may occur during the hours and days set for Zone 61 by the New Jersey Department of Fish and Wildlife.

G. 
Deer hunting during bow season is prohibited from 1/2 hour after sunset to 1/2 hour prior to sunrise and on Sundays.
H. 
Hunter orange is required when and in an amount as required by state law.

I. 
Distribution of deer hunters is to be determined by the Division. It is recommended that hunter densities not exceed one hunter per 20 acres in the firearm seasons and one hunter per 15 acres during bow season.

Hunters must abide by the rules and regulations of the NJDFW.

The Division shall, on a yearly basis, establish those hunting seasons during which the various kinds of hunting may be conducted and the areas in which hunting may be pursued. All types and seasons of hunting not expressly established by the Division in any given year shall be prohibited. Hunting outside the established areas is also prohibited.
All persons who hunt and/or trap on County property must register with the Division, complete a permit application, submit a processing fee of $5 and be issued a County permit which must be in their possession at all times during the permitted activity. To be eligible for a County permit the applicant must have a valid New Jersey hunting license and all required NJDFW permits. Applicants are required to sign an agreement to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the County and its employees and agents for loss, injury and/or damages. Hunting area selection will be final and nontransferable.

Permit quotas will be established by the Division with the cooperation of NJDFW.
