Course hours shall be established seasonally and shall be posted at the course.
Advanced tee times may be required during the late spring, summer and early fall months. When advanced tee times are not required, tee times will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.
A. 
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult in order to play golf.
B. 
Persons under the age of 18 are not allowed to operate a motorized golf cart.
C. 
Children under the age of five are not permitted on the golf course.

Two or more players may not play with a single set of clubs. Each player must be equipped with a bag and at least three clubs. Metal spikes are not permitted on the golf course, practice green, driving range or clubhouse.
Golf clubs are available for rent in the pro shop for a fee of $10 per round of golf. A golf ID card, credit card or driver's license must be left at the pro shop for security until the round of golf is completed and all the clubs returned.
All players must start play at Hole No. 1 unless otherwise authorized by the Golf Manager or his/her designee.

A. 
Green Tree Golf Course is available for Atlantic County high school teams for practice and matches.
B. 
Practices are permitted in the months of March, April and May, Monday through Friday, except holidays, at or after 2:30 p.m.
C. 
Matches are permitted in the months of April and May, Monday through Friday, except holidays, at or after 2:30 p.m.
D. 
Practices and matches are limited to nine holes.
E. 
All players are expected to know and follow proper golf etiquette and rules of play.
F. 
Golf teams are limited to 12 players and two coaches.
G. 
A golf team coach must accompany the team for all practices and matches.
H. 
Requested scheduling dates must be submitted to the Green Tree Golf Course Manager by February 28 of each year.
I. 
The County reserves the right to limit the number of teams and amount of team playing time based on availability.
J. 
The golf team coach is required to secure team identification cards for each coach and player on a team before the first practice date by providing proof of enrollment for the students and a letter from the school affirming each coach's affiliation with the school as a coach. Team ID cards are only valid for team activities.
K. 
The group fee for a high school golf team for team use of the course during the months of March to May in lieu of greens fees for individual players is $800 a season.
A. 
Green Tree Golf Course is available for tournament play. Tournaments with a shotgun start format that require the course to close nine holes or more will not be allowed during the months of June, July and August.

To qualify as a tournament there must be a minimum of 32 participants with a maximum number of participants based on motorized cart availability.
C. 
Motorized golf carts are mandatory for tournaments unless course conditions dictate otherwise.

Groups that schedule a tournament at the golf course must submit a written application to the course management at least 30 days prior to the requested tournament date, and guarantee a final count of players eight days prior to the event date. Applications are available from the course manager.

(1) 
For groups based in Atlantic County, the tournament fee is the prevailing County resident rate plus a surcharge of $2 per person. This fee includes a motorized cart.
(2) 
For groups not based in Atlantic County, the tournament fee is the prevailing non-County resident rate plus a surcharge of $2 per person. This fee includes a motorized cart.
(3) 
For groups that require more than the generally available number of motorized carts, an additional fee of $8 per golfer may be charged.
A. 
Persons who qualify for resident status under Article X, Resident Status for Parks Purposes, are eligible for a resident golf identification (ID) card upon payment of the required fee.
B. 
Eligible persons under the age of 18 are entitled to a junior resident golf identification card if, in addition to the proof for a resident card, they show proof that they are under the age of 18 and pay the required fee.
C. 
Eligible persons who are 60 years of age or older are entitled to a senior resident golf identification card if, in addition to the proof for a resident card, they show proof that they are age 60 or over and pay the required fee.
D. 
Patrons of the golf course must present their resident ID card in order to take advantage of resident privileges.
E. 
A resident golf ID card is valid from March 16 through to March 15 of the following year. If a card is lost, the person must reapply in person and meet all requirements for the issuance of a card. A fee equal to the original card fee shall be charged for a reissued card.

F. 
A resident golf ID card is not transferable and its use does not include friends, guests or family members of the card holder. Misuse of the card will result in the following:
(1) 
For a first offense: a written warning and the card punched.
(2) 
For a second offense: the card confiscated, privileges suspended for 30 days and the card punched.
(3) 
For a third offense: the card confiscated and privileges suspended for one year.

(1) 
The annual fee for the Atlantic County resident golf identification card is a flat fee per person, regardless of age, for the issuance of a regular, junior or senior identification card.
(2) 
The annual fee for an initial application and ID card is $22.

Merchandise discounts. Eligible persons with a resident golf ID card are entitled to a discount of 10% on applicable merchandise in the pro shop which shall exclude all specially marked and clearance-priced sale items.

Limited memberships are available which allow the member to play on weekdays only, excluding holidays without paying the greens fee.

The golf course manager is permitted to enter into agreements with similarly situated golf courses to implement a Cross Honor Program. A Cross Honor Program agreement shall permit non-County residents, who present valid identification as determined by the golf course manager, to play the Atlantic County John F. Gaffney Green Tree Golf Course at the current "resident" rate for Atlantic County Golf Course ID cardholders. Any Cross Honor Program agreement shall not provide any additional rights to non-County residents.

Subject to the provisions listed below, golfers who play three or less holes will be entitled to a full rain check. Golfers who play holes four to 13 will be entitled to a 1/2 rain check. Any golfers who play 14 holes or more will have been considered to have played a full round and will not be entitled to a rain check. Moonlight rounds are not eligible for rain checks. Rain checks will be issued in accordance with the following provisions:
A. 
Rain checks will be issued when the golf course becomes unplayable due to weather reasons or dangerous conditions, or the weather makes play unreasonable. The golf course solely reserves the right to make these decisions.
B. 
Rain checks will only be issued for other reasons at the sole discretion of the golf course manager.
C. 
Rain checks have no cash value and may be used for golf and cart fees only. Rain checks may not be used for leagues, outings or tournaments. Rain checks will expire six months from date of issuance.
