The salary of the Mayor of the Borough of Berlin
is hereby fixed and determined at $15,000.

Said salaries shall be effective, subject to
the provisions of the statute referred to, as of January 1, 2023.
Said salaries shall be paid at the time and in the same manner as
may hereafter be determined by the Borough Council of the Borough
of Berlin.
This article shall, pursuant to the statute,
become operative 10 days after its publication after final passage,
unless within said period the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:88-3.2[1] are invoked and complied with, in which event this article
shall then become operative as provided by law.
