Pursuant to Subdivision 1 of § 405.00 of the Penal Law of the State of New York, the Mayor is hereby designated as the "permit authority" to grant and issue permits for the public display of fireworks in accordance with the provisions of § 405.00 of the Penal Law.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be subject to a fine or penalty not to exceed $250 or imprisonment for not to exceed 15 days, or both.
