Pursuant to the authority delegated by § 178-3 and other provisions of Chapter 178 entitled "Vehicles and Traffic" of the City of Batavia Municipal Code, the Chief of Police of the City of Batavia hereby promulgates and enacts the following order:
A.
Batavia Townhouses Project.
Pursuant to § 178-3 and § 178-20, the following traffic regulations shall be applicable in the Batavia Townhouses Project:
Stop Sign:
1.
On Patricia Drive - for traffic proceeding east at intersection with Dewey Avenue.
2.
On Michael Court - for traffic proceeding south at intersection with Patricia Drive.

School Speed Zones
Pursuant to Section 1643 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law and in accordance with Section 208.9 in the Uniform Traffic Control Devices Manual, the following school speed zones shall be applicable.
The 15 MPH school speed limit applies only during school noon hour, school recesses and while children are going to and leaving school, during opening and closing hours. Said school speed zone is that portion of a highway passing a school building and extending not more than 300 feet along such highway in either direction from its building line of the school abutting on the highway.

It shall be a violation for any person to stop, stand or park a vehicle in any area designated as a place for handicapped parking unless the vehicle bears a permit issued under Section 1203-a (Vehicle and Traffic Law), or a registration issued under Section 404-a (Vehicle and Traffic Law) and such vehicle is being used for the transportation of a severely disabled or handicapped person.
This order shall become effective immediately and upon posting of appropriate signs as provide din Section 1203 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.

All the applicable provisions of this Traffic Order of the Batavia Municipal Code, as well as the Vehicle and Traffic Law, shall apply in the enforcement and regulation of traffic in a parking area of all City owned parking lots, as though such parking area were a public street or highway within the provisions of such local laws, ordinances and state laws, in such cases made and provided. (Refer to Section 1640 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law).

City Hall Parking Lot: located at the exit near Jefferson Avenue.
2.
Genesee Country Mall Parking Lot: exit area near Jefferson Avenue; Alva Place near State Street; Alva Place near Bank Street; and west side of mall, approximately 225 feet north of Main Street.
3.
Alva Place Parking Lot: at the exit near Bank Street; and Southwest corner of lot near Alva Place.
4.
Court Plaza Parking Lot: in parking lot at the northeast corner of building; in parking lot at the northwest corner of building; near the Ellicott Street exit east side; Ellicott Street exit west side; Jackson Street southeasterly most exit; and Jackson Street northeasterly most exit.
5.
School Street Parking Lot: at exit near Jackson Street.
All of the applicable provisions of this Traffic Order of the Batavia Municipal Code, as well as the Vehicle and Traffic Law, shall apply in the enforcement and regulation of traffic in a parking area of all City owned parking lots, as though such parking areas were a public street or highway within the provisions of such local laws, ordinances and state laws, in such cases made and provided. Pursuant to the authority delegated by § 178-3 and other provisions of Chapter 178 entitled "Vehicles and Traffic" of the City of Batavia Municipal Code, the Chief of Police of the City of Batavia hereby promulgates and enacts the following order:
A.
Pursuant to Section 60.53, the hours of operation of parking meters in parking meter zones are changed as follows:
Hours of parking meter operation previously established pursuant to Article V, Section 60.53 (Hours of Meter Operation), of all parking meter zones established pursuant to Article V, Section 60.51A (Highways), and Article V, Section 60.51B (Public Parking Lots), of the City of Batavia Municipal Code are eliminated. Such parking meters will not be in operation at any time.
B.
Pursuant to Section 60.52, parking time limits in parking meter zones are changed as follows:
Parking time limits in parking meter zones previously established pursuant to Article V, Section 60.52 (Parking Time Limits) of all parking meter zones established pursuant to Article V, Section 60.51A (Highways) and Article V, Section 60.51B (Public Parking Lots) of the City of Batavia Municipal Code are changed to two (2) hours.

Pursuant to the authority delegated by Chapter 178 of the Batavia Municipal Code, the Chief of Police of the City of Batavia hereby promulgates the following Traffic Order:
THIS TRAFFIC ORDER NUMBER 3 OF 1996 RESCINDS THE PREVIOUSLY ISSUED TRAFFIC ORDER NUMBER 2 OF 1996.
CITY HALL PARKING LOT
1.
PARKING LOT DEFINED: City Hall Parking Lot is defined as the paved parking area on the north and west sides of Batavia City Hall located at 10 West Main Street, Batavia, New York, exclusive of those areas immediately adjacent to the Genesee County Sheriffs Office and Genesee County Jail which are the property of or otherwise under the control of the County of Genesee, but including the areas immediately adjacent to the Main Street entrance to the City Hall Parking Lot.
2.
TWO HOUR PARKING: Except where otherwise provided, and upon the placement of appropriate signs, parking in the City Hall Parking Lot shall be restricted to a two-hour time limit. Except where otherwise provided, no person shall park, stand or otherwise leave any motor vehicle in the City Hall Parking Lot for a period of time longer than two continuous hours.
3.
OFFICIAL VEHICLES ONLY: When designated by appropriate signs, marked parking spaces on the south side of the parking lot extending east from the northwest corner of City Hall and on the west side of City Hall extending north and south of the northwest corner of City Hall shall be reserved for the exclusive use of official vehicles owned by the City of Batavia. No person shall park any vehicle in these spaces unless such vehicle is an official vehicle owned by the City of Batavia.
4.
FIFTEEN-MINUTE PARKING: When designated by appropriate signs, parking in marked parking spaces located on the west side of City Hall and on the south side of the parking lot on the north side of City Hall shall be limited to fifteen-minute parking. No person shall park, stand or otherwise leave any motor vehicle in these spaces for a period of time longer than fifteen minutes.
5.
HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES: When designated by appropriate signs, marked parking spaces on the west side of City Hall shall be reserved for the exclusive use of persons possessing a valid handicapped parking permit issued in accordance with the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law. No person shall park, stand or otherwise leave any motor vehicle in these spaces in violation of any provision of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law pertaining to the use of parking spaces reserved for handicapped persons.
6.
NO PARKING: No person shall park, stand or otherwise leave any vehicle in the City Hall Parking Lot except in a marked parking space as permitted by this Traffic Order. Double parking and parking in areas used for driving by through traffic, including the area adjacent to the Main Street entrance to the Parking Lot, are not permitted.
7.
PARKING PERMITS: Authorized parking permits shall be issued by the Chief of Police to persons for display on their personal vehicles while they are parked in the City Hall Parking Lot. Such permits shall authorize these persons to park their vehicles in the marked parking spaces described in Paragraph 2 above for periods of time longer than two hours. A parking permit shall not be valid if and while it is used by any person to whom it was not officially issued. No person may allow another person to use a parking permit which was officially issued to them.
This Traffic Order shall become effective upon the posting of appropriate signs.

Pursuant to the authority delegated by Chapter 178 of the Batavia Municipal Code, the Chief of Police of the City of Batavia hereby promulgates the following Traffic Order:
"NO PARKING" IN FRONT OF 58 KINGSBURY AVENUE
1.
In order to facilitate traffic flow in the vicinity of the intersection of Kingsbury Avenue and Dennis Drive, the following "No Parking" zone is created:

No parking shall be permitted on the east side of Kingsbury Avenue from the north edge of the residence driveway located at 58 Kingsbury Avenue to the northeast corner of the intersection of Kingsbury Avenue and Dennis Drive.

TWO-HOUR PARKING LIMIT ON VERNON AVENUE
1.
In order to facilitate traffic flow in the vicinity of the intersection of Vernon Avenue and Richmond Avenue, the following "2 Hour Parking Limit" zone is created:

A two-hour parking limit zone is created on both sides of Vernon Avenue from the existing "no stopping or standing zone," which extends south from Richmond Avenue for a distance of approximately one hundred feet, south for a distance of approximately one hundred (100) feet.
3.
No person shall park or stand any motor vehicle in the regulated area for longer than two (2) hours.
This Traffic Order shall become effective upon the posting of appropriate signs.

Pursuant to the authority delegated by Chapter 178 of the Batavia Municipal Code, the Chief of Police of the City of Batavia hereby promulgates the following Traffic Order:
THIRTY-MINUTE PARKING LIMIT IN SELECTED PARKING SPACES IN THE GENESEE COUNTRY MALL PARKING LOT
1.
In order to provide for the short-term parking needs of customers of the Genesee Country Mall, the following "30 Minute Parking" limit is established:

A thirty-minute parking limit is established for those parking spaces in the Genesee Country Mall parking lot located on the west side of the Genesee Country Mall, and located adjacent to and east of the Main Street entrance to said parking lot.
3.
No person shall park or stand any motor vehicle in the regulated parking spaces for longer than thirty (30) continuous minutes.
4.
This thirty-minute parking limit shall not apply to any handicapped parking spaces existing now or in the future.
This Traffic Order shall become effective upon the posting of appropriate signs.

Pursuant to the authority delegated by Chapter 178 of the Batavia Municipal Code, the Chief of Police of the City of Batavia hereby promulgates the following Traffic Order:
A.
Vehicle Weight Restrictions In Valu-Home Plaza, West Main Street, Batavia, New York
1.
All trucks, commercial vehicles, tractors, tractor-trailer combinations and other vehicles with a gross registered weight in excess of five (5) tons, except for government vehicles, are hereby excluded from Valu-Home Plaza, West Main Street, Batavia, New York.
2.
The regulation established by this Traffic Order shall not be construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise or other property within the plaza or any businesses therein, nor to exclude vehicles necessary for conducting or operating any of the businesses therein, nor to exclude vehicles necessary for the effect of maintenance or repairs of the plaza or any of the businesses therein.
3.
No person shall operate, park or stand any motor vehicle in the plaza in violation of the aforementioned weight restrictions.
This Traffic Order shall become effective upon the posting of appropriate signs.

FIFTEEN-MINUTE PARKING LIMIT IN SELECTED PARKING SPACES IN FRONT OF 341 WEST MAIN STREET
1.
A fifteen-minute parking limit is established for two parking spaces in front of 341 West Main Street, Batavia, New York.
2.
No person shall park or stand any motor vehicle in the regulated parking spaces for longer than fifteen (15) continuous minutes.
This Traffic Order shall become effective upon the posting of appropriate signs.

Pursuant to the authority delegated by § 178-3 of the Code of the City of Batavia, the Chief of Police of the City of Batavia hereby promulgates the following Traffic Order:
ONE-HOUR PARKING IN PORTIONS OF THE GENESEE COUNTY MALL PARKING LOT
1.
A ONE-HOUR parking limit is established for fourteen parking spaces in the parking lot on the west side of the Genesee County Mall.
2.
The aforementioned parking spaces are located on the south edge of the parking lot, directly west of the Main Street entrance of the parking lot, and abutting the sidewalk. The aforementioned parking spaces are generally in front of the premises known as Wendy's Restaurant.
3.
No person shall park or stand any motor vehicle in the regulated parking spaces for longer than one continuous hour.
This Traffic Order shall become effective upon the posting of appropriate signs.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN THE CENTER STREET PARKING LOT
1.
A TWO-HOUR Parking limit is established for the following areas:
a.
The first row of parking spaces directly south of the building addresses known as 200-206 East Main Street, with the exception of one parking space to the rear of 200-204 East Main Street.
b.
The first row of parking spaces directly east of the building address known as 206 East Main Street.
c.
The first row of parking spaces directly north of the business address known as 15 Center Street.
d.
The first twelve spaces directly west of the building address known as 210 East Main St.
2.
A FIFTEEN-MINUTE Parking limit is established for one parking space in the first row of parking spaces directly south of the building addresses known as 200-204 East Main Street.
3.
ALL-DAY parking is established for all other parking spaces in said Center Street parking lot.
4.
No person shall park or stand any motor vehicle in the regulated parking spaces for longer than the above stated periods.
This Traffic Order shall become effective upon the posting of appropriate signs.

Pursuant to the authority delegated by § 178-3 and other provisions of Chapter 178 entitled "Vehicles and Traffic" of the City of Batavia Municipal Code, the Chief of Police of the City of Batavia hereby promulgates and enacts the following order:
A.
Ellicott Street. The following traffic regulations shall be applicable on Ellicott Street between Liberty Street, and Goade Park.
Restricted Parking on the south side.
A 15-minute parking limit in front of 300 Ellicott Street from the corner of Liberty Sreet for one parking space, (25) feet.
A 2-hour parking limit for two parking spaces (50) feet adjacent to the 15-minute zone in front of 302 Ellicott Street.
No person shall park, or stand any motor vehicle in the regulated parking spaces for longer than the prescribed time.
This order shall become effective immediately and upon the posting of appropriate signs as provided in § 1682 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.
