This chapter may be known and cited as the "Town
of Bethlehem Hunting Ordinance."
The purpose of this chapter is to protect the
public health, welfare, safety, peace and tranquility by regulating
hunting and trapping on park property owned by the Town of Bethlehem.
No person shall hunt, trap or use any hunting
device on property which is designated as parkland. Hunting devices
include firearms, bows and arrows, traps or any other device used
for hunting.

A. The prohibition contained in §
79-3 shall not apply to:
(1) A law
enforcement or peace officer in the performance of his or her official
duties.
(2) Persons
licensed to hunt who possess hunting rights established in leases
on land acquired by the Town subject to those leases.
Any person violating the provisions of this
chapter shall be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction thereof,
shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $250.
