The Commercial Natural Gas Company of the City of Bradford, Pennsylvania,
shall be and is hereby authorized and privileged to furnish natural gas for
light and fuel to the inhabitants of the City of Bradford and to enter upon
any and all of the streets, lanes, alleys and highways of said city for the
purposes of laying down its main line and other lines of pipe and repairing,
altering, inspecting and maintaining the same; provided, however, that said
rights and privileges shall at all times be enjoyed and exercised in such
a way as to do as little damage as possible to such streets, lanes, alleys
and highways and to impair as little as possible the free use thereof and
subject to such regulations as the Councils of said city have by ordinance
adopted or may hereafter by ordinance adopt.

Permission, authority and consent of the City of Bradford be and the
same is hereby granted to the Bradford Gas Company, a corporation under the
laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and its successors to lay, operate
and maintain its lines of pipe over and across certain streets in the City
of Bradford as follows: upon Leon Street, between East Main Street and the
Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburg Railroad Company's right-of-way; to cross
Kendall Avenue on the east side of the Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburg Railroad
Company's right-of-way; to cross East Main Street at a point north of an extension
of Leon Street; to cross Barbour Street at a point west of the creek and east
of the right-of-way of the Erie Railroad Company; to cross Center Street south
of the right-of-way of the Erie Railway Company; to cross Chestnut Street
near the works of the Bradford Electric Light and Power Company; upon Allison
Street; to cross Boylston Street at the creek near the junction with Washington
Street; and upon Mill Street.
The right hereby granted shall at all times be enjoyed and exercised
in such a way as to do as little damage as possible to said streets and to
impair as little as possible the free use thereof. The construction of said
lines and the repair of the same shall be under the general supervision of
the Street Commissioner of said city.
All work done by said company in lamying or repairing its lines shall
be done under such regulations as the Councils of said city have by ordinance
adopted, relative to laying lines of pipe and street excavations, or may hereafter
by ordinance adopt.

The Commercial Natural Gas Company is hereby given permission and authority
to assign, transfer and set over to the United Natural Gas Company all the
rights, privileges and franchise granted to it by Ordinance No. 395, approved
the 10th day of May 1892,[1] for supplying natural gas in the City of Bradford, which latter
company shall have and enjoy the same rights and privileges of laying, repairing
or taking up pipes in the streets of the City of Bradford as are now enjoyed
by the Commercial Natural Gas Company.
