No person, firm or corporation shall build any outdoor fire within the corporate limits of the Village of Belgium, except as set forth in §
108-2 below.
The Fire Chief is permitted to prohibit any open burning when atmospheric
conditions or local circumstances make such fires hazardous, except on written
permit from the Fire Chief, which permit shall designate the time and place
for such burning. Notice of designation of a fire danger emergency period
shall be made by publication of an appropriate order to be effective forthwith.
No materials may be burned upon any street, curb, gutter or sidewalk.
Persons utilizing and maintaining outdoor fires shall be responsible
for any liability resulting from damage caused by such fires.
In addition to any other remedies provided by this chapter, any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be subject to a penalty as provided in Chapter
1, §
1-5 of this Code.
