Except as specifically otherwise provided herein, the provisions of
this Fire Prevention Code shall apply equally on public and private property
and to all locations.
There are hereby adopted and incorporated herein as if fully set forth as part of the Fire Prevention Code of the Village of Black Earth the following codes and standards of the Wisconsin Administrative Code as from time to time amended. Violations of these codes and standards shall be a violation of this Fire Prevention Code, subject to the penalties set forth in Chapter
1, General Provisions, §
1-4 of this Code.
A. Chapter COMM 8, Flammable and Combustible Liquids.
B. Chapter COMM 9, Liquefied Petroleum Gases.
C. Chapter COMM 14, General Hazards Fire Prevention.
D. Chapters COMM 50 through 64.
The Fire Chief of the Black Earth Joint Fire District (hereafter "Fire
Chief") shall administer and enforce the Black Earth Fire Prevention Code.
The Fire Chief or his/her designated deputies shall inspect all premises
within the Village classified as public occupancies on a periodic basis to
determine compliance with this code and other Village ordinances applicable
to fire prevention.

If any person fails to obey a corrective order within 10 days or such longer period as allowed by the corrective order, the Fire Chief or his/her deputy shall issue a citation under Chapter
12 of the Village Code (wherein any reference to the Dane County Sheriff under Chapter
12 shall include the Fire Chief for purposes of this section) to the Black Earth Municipal Court for a penalty as provided in Chapter
1, General Provisions, §
1-4.

The Flammable Liquids Code for the State of Wisconsin, issued by the
Department of Commerce of the State of Wisconsin, and constituting Ch. COMM
10, Wis. Adm. Code, is hereby made by reference a part of this article, and
the Building Inspector and the Dane County Sheriff shall enforce the provisions
thereof. A copy of such Code shall be kept on file in the office of the Village
Clerk-Treasurer.
