A. 
A permit shall be required for planting, spraying, pruning, removing or otherwise disturbing any tree with the public rights-of way. Applications shall be obtained and submitted to the Town Clerk. Permits or rejections shall be made within 30 days of application submission.
B. 
The Tree Warden may issue a permit providing the proposed method and quality of work shall be of satisfactory nature and the project shall be consistent with this ordinance. Notice of rejection will be sent if the project is not consistent with this ordinance. The Tree Warden may request an opinion from the Tree Committee prior to the issuance or rejection of the permit. Any appeal of an adverse decision by the Tree Warden shall be made to the Tree Committee in writing within 10 days of receipt of the Tree Warden's decision. The Tree Committee shall hear said appeal and return a decision within 30 days of the applicant's request.
C. 
Any permit granted under this ordinance shall be terminated by the Tree Warden if the permits terms and conditions are violated.
D. 
The Tree Warden and Tree Committee shall be notified by the bearer of said permit upon satisfactory completion of the designated work.
A permit shall contain a definitive date of expiration and applicable work shall be completed with the time allowed in the permit and in the manner described.
