[Adopted as Secs. 18-8 through 18-11 of the 1963 Code]
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
DUST
All dust, soot, ash, fly ash, dirt or other fine particles of matter.
DUST-PRODUCING SUBSTANCE
All coal, charcoal, coke, sand, gravel, dirt or any other substance composed of, mixed with, producing or otherwise capable of spreading or disseminating dust.
No dust or dust-producing substance shall be transported through any street without protection and covering, at all times, sufficient effectually to prevent the spreading or dissemination of dust from such dust-producing substance into the air or upon any public or private property. Each violation hereof shall constitute a separate offense.
No person shall handle, transport, work, load, unload, trade or deal with any dust or dust-producing substance in any place in the Town so as, by the dissemination of dust, to annoy or disturb unreasonably, or to endanger the health of, any other person or to damage or render unsightly any property or thing.
All persons participating or in any way responsible for any violation of the provisions of this article shall be severally guilty of such violation and shall each be fined not more than $25.
