GENERAL REFERENCES

The following regulations are hereby adopted with regard to parking at the Southeast Station, subject to approval by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the Gold Lot:
A. 
Hours of enforcement. Parking regulations shall be enforced 6:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. On weekends and holidays, parking is free.
B. 
Schedule of rates. The schedule of fees for parking at the Southeast Station and Gold Lot shall be as set forth in the official fee schedule adopted from time to time by the Town Board. The current fees shall be as follows:
(1) 
Permit parking (Southeast Station and Gold Lot).
(a) 
Six-month permit.

Residents: $179, with second car $199.

Nonresidents: $272, with second car $292.
(b) 
One-year permit.
[1] 
Residents: $336, with second car $376.
[2] 
Nonresidents: $513, with second car $553.
(2) 
Meter parking.
(a) 
Brewster North: $4 per day.
(b) 
Gold Lot: $4 per day.
C. 
Permit availability; expiration.
(1) 
Permits may be obtained:
(a) 
From the office of the Receiver of Taxes, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, located at 1360 Route 22, Brewster, New York;
(b) 
By mail, with a stamped self-addressed envelope enclosed, to the office of the Receiver of Taxes, Town of Southeast, 1360 Route 22, Brewster, New York, 10509.
(2) 
Each parking permittee will have a grace period of one month from the time of expiration. If the permit is not renewed within this time frame, the permittee will be automatically dropped as a permit holder. There will be no exceptions.
D. 
Permit validity.
(1) 
Valid parking permits shall be displayed from the rear view mirror at all times.
(2) 
Each permit is valid for the months posted and for a maximum of two vehicles.
(3) 
The license plate number for each vehicle eligible to use the permit will be written on the permit.
(4) 
Only one permit will be issued for each fee paid.
E. 
Transfer of sticker.
(1) 
Each permit is valid for the months posted for a maximum of two vehicles.
(2) 
The license plate number for each plate vehicle will be written on the permit.
(3) 
Only one permit shall be issued for each fee paid.
F. 
Forgery of permit. Any person found to have displayed a forged permit or facsimile shall be subject to criminal prosecution in accordance with the applicable provisions of law (Criminal Law § 170.10).
G. 
Metered space. Metered parking spaces for both the Gold Lot and Southeast Station will be available for vehicles without permits on a first-come-first-served basis.
H. 
Liability.
(1) 
All persons and vehicles using the Southeast Station and the Gold Lot do so at their own risk and liability.
(2) 
Vehicle owners are liable for all property damage caused by their vehicles.
I. 
Violations. Parking without a valid permit shall constitute a violation. Parking without having a permit properly displayed shall constitute a violation. Failure to put adequate money in a meter shall constitute a violation. Permit holders cannot park in metered spaces unless adequate money is put in the meter.
J. 
Fine schedule for violations. The fine schedule for violations shall be $50 per violation (or such increased penalties for multiple outstanding violations as set forth in § 131-43 of the code), payable by:
(1) 
Mail, as per printed instructions on notice of violation; or
(2) 
Appearance at the Justice Court office 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
K. 
Towing. Any vehicle in violation for eight or more hours may be towed at the owner's expense by the town. The owner shall be responsible for all towing and storage charges for the vehicle. All charges must be paid before the vehicle can be recovered.
The Justice Court of Southeast is hereby designated as the Traffic Violation Bureau to handle all such violations.
