The above districts are bounded and defined as shown on a map entitled "Middle Township, New Jersey, Zoning Map," which consists of one large map of the entire Township at a scale of approximately one inch equals 2,000 feet.[1]
[1]
Editor's Note: The Zoning Map referred to herein may be found on file in the Planning and Zoning Office.
Where uncertainty exists with respect to the boundaries of any of the aforesaid districts as shown on the Zoning Map, the following rules shall apply:
A.
The district boundaries are as shown on the Area Township Map at a scale of one inch equals 2,000 feet.
B.
Where district boundaries are indicated as approximately following lot lines, the center line of streets or highways, highway right-of-way lines or railroad center lines, such lot lines, center lines, highway right-of-way lines or railroad center lines shall be construed to be such boundaries.
C.
Where district boundaries are so indicated that they are approximately parallel to the center lines of streets or highways, such district boundaries shall be construed as being parallel thereto and at such distance therefrom as indicated on the Zoning Map. If no distance is given, such dimension shall be determined by the use of the scale shown on said Zoning Map.
D.
Where district boundaries are indicated as approximately following a stream, pond, lake or other water body or the edge of a marsh, swamp, tidal meadow or other natural feature, such water bodies or natural features shall be construed to be such boundaries.
E.
Where a district boundary line divides a lot which was in single ownership at the time of passage of this chapter, the Planning Board or Zoning Board of Adjustment may permit the extension of the regulations for either portion of the lot not to exceed 50 feet beyond the district line into the remaining portion of the lot.
F.
The exact location of any disputed zoning district boundary line shall be determined by the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
