No dog or dogs shall be permitted at any time
in or on the premises known as the "Burgess-Kimball Town Park." This
section shall not apply to Seeing Eye dogs during such time such dog
or dogs are performing the functions for which they were trained,
nor for dogs aiding or assisting disabled persons, nor to dogs actively
engaged in police work.
No dog or dogs shall be permitted to run at
large at any time, and a dog or dogs must be leashed and accompanied
by a competent person having control of such dog or dogs, when within
the Woods Hollow Nature Preserve.
A.Â
Prohibition of dogs defecating on property owned or
maintained by Town. No dog or dogs shall be allowed to defecate on
property owned or maintained by the Town of Milton, and any person
who owns or is in charge of any dog which defecates upon property
owned or maintained by the Town of Milton shall immediately remove
said waste product and dispose of it in a sealed, leakproof container.
B.Â
Prohibition of dogs on private property in Town. This
provision shall also apply to private property in the Town of Milton
unless the owner of said property gives permission for the deposit
of said waste on said property.
C.Â
Exemption of dogs with disabled persons. This section
shall not apply to a blind person with a guide dog or otherwise disabled
person with a dog trained to assist him or her, nor shall this section
apply to dogs actively engaged in police work.

Unless otherwise provided by § 119
of the Agriculture and Markets Law, the owner or harborer of a dog
violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction
thereof, be subject to a fine not exceeding $250 or to imprisonment
for not more than 15 days, or both, for each offense.
