The provisions of this article shall apply, except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the direction of a police officer or official traffic control devices.
The parking of vehicles is prohibited at all times in those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule X (§ 190-38).
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited during the hours and in the locations described in Schedule XI (§ 190-39) for a longer period of time than that designated.

The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the locations described in Schedule XIA (§ 190-39.1) during the times indicated.

Loading zones shall be for commercial vehicles only for a period of time not to exceed 15 minutes during the hours and in the locations described in Schedule XIB (§ 190-39.2).

Fireman-only parking zones shall be for vehicles owned by members of the Piermont Fire Department during the hours and in the locations described in Schedule XIII (§ 190-40.1).

The parking of commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds is hereby prohibited during the hours and in the locations described in Schedule XIII (§ 190-40.2).

The parking of vehicles at any designated parking space in the Village with an electric car battery charger shall be limited to cars actively utilizing the charging facilities adjacent to such parking space.

A. 
The parking of vehicles other than "compact cars," as defined herein, at any parking space in the Village signed and designated as parking for "Compact Cars Only" is hereby prohibited.
B. 
"Compact cars" shall be defined as a passenger vehicle not exceeding 15 feet and 6 inches in length.
Standing is hereby prohibited, excluding buses, at the locations designated as bus stops in Schedule XII (§ 190-40).
