[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Pine 4-3-1978 by Ord. No. 111. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The office of Township Manager is hereby created.
Appointment of the Township Manager shall be by majority vote of the Board of Supervisors at any time in which a vacancy in the office of Township Manager occurs.
Only a natural person who resides in the Township of Pine or moves into the Township of Pine within six months of appointment shall serve as Township Manager. The six-month provision may be extended at the sole discretion of the Supervisors.
Once appointed, the Township Manager shall serve until his successor is elected, except if, by majority vote, the Board of Supervisors votes to remove the person from the position of Township Manager.

The Township Manager hall have such duties and responsibilities as are directed and assigned by the Board of Supervisors. Such duties and responsibilities may be recalled, altered or increased by resolution duly adopted by the Board of Supervisors.
Compensation for the position of Township Manager shall be set by resolution adopted by a majority vote of the Board of Supervisors and shall be paid out of the general fund of the Township.

Any person serving in the position of Township Manager shall be required to post a bond in an amount to be determined by the Township Auditor, which shall be conditioned for the faithful performance of the Township Manager's duties.
