A. 
Pursuant to MGL c. 98, § 56, the Sealer of Weights and Measures shall receive the following fees for sealing and inspecting the following weighing or measuring devices:
(1) 
Each scale with a weighing capacity of more than 10,000 pounds: $90.
(2) 
Each scale with a weighing capacity of 5,000 to 10,000 pounds: $60.
(3) 
Each scale with a weighing capacity of 1,000 to 5,000 pounds: $30.
(4) 
Each scale with a weighing capacity of 100 to 1,000 pounds: $18.
(5) 
Scales and balances with a weighing capacity of more than 10 pounds and less than 100 pounds: $12.
(6) 
Scales and balances with a weighing capacity of 10 pounds or less: $12.
(7) 
Each liquid capacity measure, except vehicle tanks, of the capacity of more than one gallon and measures on pumps: $0.50 with a minimum fee of $25.
(8) 
Each liquid measuring meter, except water meters, the diameter of the inlet pipe of which is 1/2 inch or less: $7; more than 1/2 inch but not more than one inch: $12; and for each such type of liquid measuring meter, the diameter of the inlet pipe of which is more than one inch, the following shall apply:
(a) 
Vehicle tank pump: $30.
(b) 
Vehicle tank gravity: $30.
(c) 
Bulk storage: $45.
(d) 
Bulk storage user furnishes certified prover: $35.
(9) 
Each taximeter or measuring device used upon vehicles to determine the cost of transportation: $18.
(10) 
Each machine or other mechanical device used for determining linear or area measurement: $12.
(11) 
Milk bottle or jars: $4 per gross.
(12) 
Vehicle tanks used in the sale of commodities by liquid measures shall be charged a minimum of $25 for each 100 gallons or fraction thereof, and an additional fee of $2 per sealed indicator.
(13) 
All weights and other measures: $1 each.
(14) 
Each automated electronic retail checkout system with fewer than four cash registers or computer terminals: no more than $75.
(15) 
Each automated electronic retail checkout system with no less than four and no more than 11 cash registers or computer terminals: not more than $150.
(16) 
Each automated electronic retail checkout system with greater than 11 cash registers or computer terminals: no more than $250.
(17) 
Each returnable bottle or can redemption machine: $12.
B. 
The Sealer shall also receive reasonable compensation for the use of special facilities, necessary repairs, alterations and adjustments made by said Sealer.
