[Ord. #1864, 8-29-2006, adopted]
This section is for the purpose of promoting the orderly and safe parking of motor vehicles and the minimizing of traffic congestion in and around the parking areas located at the Bernards Township Board of Education offices, Cedar Hill Elementary School, Ridge High School, the Bernards Township Municipal Building, and the Bernards Township Board of Education Varsity Lot (the School and Municipal Parking Lots).
[Ord. #1864, 8-29-2006, adopted]
Vehicles parked in school and municipal parking lots specifically designated for "permit parking only" must have a valid school-issued decal (for faculty) or tag (for students) except for those designated times and days that are exempted. Decals and tags shall be issued by the Ridge High School Principal's secretary on an annual basis.
[Ord. #1864, 8-29-2006, adopted]
The school-issued decal for faculty must be affixed to the lower rear corner of the driver's side rear window of the vehicle for which it was issued. Before issuing any decal, the Ridge High School Principal's secretary shall type or write in ink on the decal the license plate number of the vehicle for which it is being issued. No decal shall be affixed to any vehicle other than the one which bears the license plate number shown on the decal.
[Ord. #1864, 8-29-2006, adopted]
The school-issued parking tag for students shall be displayed hanging from the rearview mirror on student vehicles at all times.
[Ord. #1864, 8-29-2006, adopted]
Student tags are only valid for parking in the designated Senior lot, designated numbered spots at the Municipal Complex, and designated numbered spots at the Varsity lot near the Community Center. Student tag numbers must correspond to the assigned number of the parking space in these three parking lots. Student parking is not permitted in the Municipal Complex other than those designated and numbered spaces during said hours of enforcement.
[Ord. #1864, 8-29-2006, adopted]
Parking permits consisting of decals and tags will be required for parking in the school and municipal parking lots between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. during the Board of Education calendar school year.
[Ord. #1864, 8-29-2006, adopted]
All vehicles with faculty decals and student tags shall park in their proper designated, lined, numbered, and paved space, and shall not park in any parking spaces at the Municipal Complex that have not been expressly designated for faculty or student parking, but have been designated for employee and municipal visitor vehicles at the Municipal Complex.
[Ord. #1864, 8-29-2006, adopted]
Visitor parking will be designated two-hour parking. Any vehicle requiring parking for a longer length of time on Board of Education property shall obtain a temporary parking permit from the Principal's secretary, or for a longer length of time in Municipal Complex parking from the Municipal Clerk's office.
[Ord. #1864, 8-29-2006, adopted]
Every person convicted of a violation of Section 7-17 shall be liable to a penalty of not more than $100 or a period of community service not exceeding five days, or both.
