[Ord. #1452, 5-15-2001, adopted]
a. Use of any park under the jurisdiction of the Somerset
County Park Commission, and conduct in any such county park, shall
be governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Somerset County Park
Commission, as amended, supplemented or superseded from time to time,
except as limited in Paragraph b of this section, and such Rules and
Regulations are hereby incorporated into these Revised General Ordinances
for that purpose.
b. On subjects as to which the Revised General Ordinances
are silent, or in the event of any conflict between the County Rules
and Regulations and any provision of Subsection 10-1.1 of the Revised
General Ordinances, the provisions of the County Rules and Regulations
shall govern within the boundaries of county parks. On subjects which
are addressed by the Revised General Ordinances, but as to which either:
1. The County Rules and Regulations are silent; or
2. It is not clear whether the County Rules or Regulations
apply, the Revised General Ordinances shall govern.
c. The Township Police Department is empowered to enforce
the County Rules and Regulations within county parks in the Township,
to the extent that the Rules and Regulations apply. Nothing in this
section shall require the Township Police Department to patrol within
any county park. Nothing in this section shall require the Township
Police Department to give any particular priority to calls regarding
alleged violations within county parks.
d. Any violation of the County Rules and Regulations,
where they are applicable, shall subject the violator to the penalties
specified in those Rules and Regulations.
