A.
Domesticated farm animals, other than cats or dogs, must be registered with the Cedar Grove Health Department annually. An annual fee of $5 per animal must be paid for each registration. Said animal or animals must be housed in a barn/coop/pen with a setback no closer than 10 feet from any side or rear property line and behind the rear building line of the principal structure. All properties housing domesticated farm animals must be kept clean and sanitary to ensure the health and safety of the animals and the general public. In addition to the above setback requirements, no animal can be housed within 50 feet of any window, door or opening of any adjoining principal structure. The Cedar Grove Health Department will inspect each registered property where animals are housed annually. Failure to comply with the provisions of this section will result in the revocation of said registration and removal of animals being housed on said property at the owner's expense.
B.
It is the intent of this section to allow for the lawful keeping of domesticated (farm) animals while maintaining the rights and quality of life for all surrounding property owners. Animals housed that have a negative effect on any adjoining properties will not be reissued a registration in the subsequent year as determined by the Township Health Office.
