§ 48-41 Positions created; appointment. There are hereby created the positions of Municipal Prosecutor and Municipal Public Defender who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.
§ 48-42 Tenure. A. The Municipal Prosecutor shall serve from January 1 to December 31 of each year or until the successor is appointed.B. The Public Defender shall serve from January 1 to December 31 of each year until the successor is appointed.
§ 48-43 Duties. A. The Municipal Prosecutor shall perform such duties as his office necessitates.B. The Municipal Public Defender shall perform such duties as his office necessitates.
§ 48-44 Compensation. The salary of the Municipal Prosecutor and the Municipal Public Defender shall be as established by the Annual Salary Ordinance.[1][1]Editor's Note: See Ch. 66, Salaries and Compensation.
